About BASN and US Angel Investors

Bay Area Startup Network (BASN) provides events and resources to help startup entrepreneurs grow and finance their companies and is the umbrella organization for US Angel Investors

Events

BASN/US Angel Investors generally holds at least 3-4 events every month

The US Angel Investors/BASN Screening Meeting is an event where invited companies present to a screening committee. After screening, selected companies are invited to present to the monthly US Angel Investors meeting (usually the next month). It is usually held on the second Tuesday of the month.

The US Angel Investors monthly Investor Meeting -Palo Alto is for selected companies to present to private investors and is usually held on the third Wednesday of the month.

The US Angel Investors monthly Investor Meeting -Reno is for selected companies to present to private investors. Check the US Angel Investors web site for monthly dates. This meeting is co-sponsored by C4Cube the leading incubator and business booster in orthern nevada


The BASN FASTPITCH breakfasts are for  companies that wish to improve their "elevator" presentation. The
selected entrepreneurs present their companies in front of guest investors (VCs or angel investors). The format is oral pitch only (no Powerpoint, no props, 6-8 mn total time including Q&A).

Additionally, BASN holds ENTREPRENEURS DOJO brownbag lunch meetings focused on issues of interest to startup entrepreneurs such as legal aspects, building teams, raising funds, etc. and VC Forum meetings where selected startups present to members of the Venture Capital community.
